Balthasar and Watt secure two podiums at the season opener

The first race was started by Sebastians teammate Noah Watt on fourth position and turned out to be an action-packed season opener at Monza: After a difficult start, Noah lost positions back to eighth place before both drivers’ remarkable fightback through the field and finally finished on podium 3rd in overall.

In race two, the German driver in the #2 Leipert Motorsport car made a superb start from sixth on the grid immediately to third at Turn 1. His subsequent move resulted in a slid past Race 1 winner Max Weering, Milan Teekens and Guzman all in one move.

In the early stages, Balthasar tried to pass Cecotto for the second position, before he remained a comfortable third ahead of the pit-stop window.

As a result of an excellent pit stop, Balthasar and Watt were able to secure second overall place and thus the second podium this weekend.

The duo is now heading with just one point behind the overall lead to the second run of the championship in France on May 28-30, 2021. There, the two teammates want to build upon the victory of the season final in 2020.
